Job summary

Harvey Nash Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our London engineering team. You’ll build reliable, scalable technology in a regulated financial services context, owning features from design through to production support.

In a highly autonomous, cross-functional squad, you’ll work with Node.js, TypeScript and AWS, delivering resilient APIs and observability-focused systems. If you enjoy ownership and modern cloud architectures, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Node.js and TypeScript experience.
• Solid AWS and Serverless experience.
• Experience building distributed, resilient APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB or another document database.
• A strong understanding of testing, observability and performance.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers and owning production services.

Responsibilities

• Own and contribute to end-to-end software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional squad with architecture, development and production support.
• Build reliable, scalable services powering financial products.
• Ensure production readiness through testing and observability practices.

Location: London | Hybrid - 1 day onsite ; Salary: £75,000 - £ 105,000

About the role: We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and build reliable, scalable technology supporting regulated investment and custody services.

You'll work in a highly autonomous, cross-functional squad with genuine ownership across the full software lifecycle - from architecture and development through to production support and incident management.

Required Skills:

• Strong commercial Node.js and TypeScript experience.
• Solid AWS and Serverless experience.
• Experience building distributed, resilient APIs.
• Experience with MongoDB or another document database.
• A strong understanding of testing, observability and performance.
• Experience working in financial services, fintech, startups or another regulated environment.
• Experience mentoring engineers and taking ownership of production services.
