Seccl is hiring as part of its embedded investment platform. We design, build, and operate scalable software using TypeScript and Node.js, with a focus on regulated financial workflows. You will lead technical delivery in a build-and-run model, mentor engineers, and own services from design through operation.

You will work in a hybrid setup across our London, Bath, or Edinburgh offices, contributing to multi-region, high-availability systems and collaboration with product and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS and serverless architectures.
• Experience with MongoDB and document databases.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical delivery.
• Experience on-call in a production environment.
• Experience working in FinTech or regulated industries is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work in a domain-aligned cross‑functional squad with engineers, product, customer-facing and operations teams.
• Design, implement and operate services within your domain.
• Be accountable for the SLAs of your products and iterative improvements.
• Maintain and extend documentation for your services.
• Foster continuous improvement and technical excellence; know when to adopt 'good enough' as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship for other engineers.
• Communicate with non‑technical colleagues to explain the Seccl system.
