Job summary

Codurance is seeking a Senior TypeScript Engineer on a six-month contract to work on a financial platform. You’ll design, build, and run TS/Node.js services on AWS serverless infrastructure, embedded in a cross-functional team with product, operations, and customer-facing colleagues.

You’ll own the production lifecycle from code to running service, mentor other engineers, and help improve observability and tests. Flexible hybrid work across major UK cities including London and Manchester.

Qualifications

• Senior contract engineer with strong TypeScript and Node.js experience.
• Experience designing and delivering services in AWS serverless environments.
• Exposure to regulated industries, ideally financial services or FinTech.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and run TypeScript and Node.js services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own SLAs and continuously improve system reliability.
• Document services and mentor other engineers.
• Explain system architecture to non-technical colleagues.
• Collaborate openly with product and operations to align delivery.
• Lead technical delivery within a build-and-run model.
• Advise on incident management and observability practices.
