Job summary

Primary Care Sheffield is seeking a Senior Service Coordinator for Triage to lead the PCS Group Triage Team and ensure patients access the right services. The role covers staffing, rotas, workflows and service performance, with emphasis on improving patient access, efficiency and quality.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinical teams, support managers and practice teams in a not-for-profit NHS context, and will participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system changes

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating clinical and non-clinical rotas is desirable.
• Ability to monitor activity and manage KPIs and performance data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily operations by overseeing workflows, prioritising workloads and responding to operational issues to support service delivery.
• Managing staffing and capacity by coordinating clinical and non-clinical rotas, identifying staffing gaps and supporting the effective deployment of staff across sites.
• Supporting patient access by helping staff use triage and patient administration systems to navigate to appropriate services.
• Monitoring service performance by reviewing activity, KPIs and management information, identifying risks and supporting audits and reviews.
• Providing day-to-day guidance, training and support to encourage teamwork and consistent ways of working.
• Building relationships with clinicians, managers, practice teams and external partners to support delivery of services.
• Supporting change by introducing new systems and processes and reviewing their impact.
• Deputising for the Support Manager and undertaking line management where appropriate.
