Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is seeking a Senior Treasury Manager with direct social housing experience to lead a key treasury function. The role focuses on cash management, liquidity forecasting and long-term business planning, with development activity driving cash flow at the core.

Candidates should have hands-on treasury expertise in a social housing context and proven business planning experience, able to work remotely with occasional Peterborough office attendance.

Qualifications

• Essential: Direct social housing experience including housing association or Registered Provider.
• Essential: Experience contributing to or managing business planning within a social housing environment.
• Proven treasury-related roles such as Treasury Manager, Treasury Analyst or similar.
• Experience building cash-flow forecasts from the ground up.
• Strong daily/weekly liquidity management experience.
• Understanding of housing development pipelines and cash flow impact.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day treasury functions including cash management and liquidity monitoring.
• Build and manage short-, medium-, and long-term cash-flow forecasts.
• Collaborate with Finance and Development teams to link development activity to cash flow.
• Incorporate development pipelines into cash-flow and liquidity forecasting.
• Model timing of development expenditure, sales, and housing income.
• Monitor liquidity and advise on funding or lender drawdowns as needed.
• Oversee debt facilities, repayments, interest, and covenant compliance.
• Support long-term business planning, scenario modelling and stress testing.
• Maintain treasury records, reconciliations, bank mandates and signatory controls.
• Support security charging and asset-related funding requirements.
• Build relationships with lenders, advisers and senior stakeholders.
• Produce treasury, liquidity and funding reports for senior management.
