Job summary

WSP is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation specialist to join our Operations and Safety team in the UK. You will work on central and local government projects, designing evaluation frameworks and delivering robust evidence to support policy decisions.

You will collaborate with energy, roads, rail and active travel experts, using tools like Excel, Power BI and R to turn data into actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Design and execution of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with quasi-experimental and theory-based evaluation.
• Strong mixed-method analysis and evidence synthesis.
• Data visualization and using Excel/Power BI/R/Python.
• Knowledge of government guidance (Green/Magenta Books; Transport Appraisal Guidance).
• Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to build client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
• Passion for evidence-informed decision making.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-discipline monitoring and evaluation projects.
• Provide expert monitoring and evaluation advice to clients.
• Collaborate with cross-WSP teams to meet project needs.
• Support growth of the Monitoring & Evaluation practice.
