Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a skilled Monitoring & Evaluation specialist to join our Intelligent Infrastructure team in Manchester. You will design and deliver evaluations of transport policies and programmes, translating evidence into actionable insights for clients and decision-makers.

You will work with senior experts across sectors, applying quantitative and qualitative methods, and using tools such as Excel, Power BI, R, Python, SPSS or Stata to inform policy and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing monitoring and evaluation plans for policies, programmes and projects.
• Proficient in applying quasi-experimental and theory-based evaluation methods.
• Strong analytical skills across quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Ability to translate evidence into clear insights for clients and stakeholders.
• Experience with government guidance on monitoring and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-discipline monitoring and evaluation projects for transport policies and programmes.
• Provide expert advice to clients to help deliver objectives and maximise benefits.
• Collaborate with other WSP teams to bring in necessary skills for each project.
• Contribute to growing the Monitoring and Evaluation practice to meet ambitions.
