Job summary

Loom Talent is recruiting a Senior Transport Planner for a Wakefield distribution site, on-site, full-time (Mon–Fri). The role reports to the Transport Planning Manager and works with three other planners to coordinate efficient distribution of goods across the UK.

You will plan daily routes, liaise with hauliers and drivers, and ensure capacity, compliance and timely deliveries while collaborating with warehouse, procurement and customer service teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport planning or logistics scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport compliance and drivers' hours.
• Confident use of transport/routing software and Excel.
• Good communication and teamwork across the business.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily vehicle routes and loads with the planning team.
• Liaise with hauliers and drivers to secure capacity and resolve issues.
• Share knowledge with fellow planners and support the Transport Planning Manager.
• Work with warehouse, procurement and customer service to align dispatch with stock and priorities.
