Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Transport Planning Lead for our Primark Distribution Centre in Thrapston. You will lead and support the transport planning function, producing efficient transport plans to meet customer requirements and service standards.

You will work with Transport Managers and stakeholders to drive productivity and continuous improvement using Paragon and related systems. The role is full-time and permanent, with hours from 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, on-site at

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in transport planning, logistics or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Paragon or similar transport optimisation tool.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation skills.
• Strong Excel and IT skills with experience in transport systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, review and optimise daily transport plans and routes using Paragon.
• Lead, coach and support the transport planning team and resolve planning challenges.
• Review volumes, fleet, drivers and constraints to develop effective plans.
• Monitor planned vs. actual performance and adjust to maintain service levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve vehicle utilisation and reduce mileage.
• Collaborate with Transport Managers and stakeholders to meet customer needs.
