Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join a growing transport planning team. You will lead projects from feasibility through planning, working with clients, authorities, developers and multidisciplinary teams across the UK.

You will develop technical reports, mentor junior staff, and contribute to fee proposals and business development, with a hybrid working pattern and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or related discipline.
• Several years' experience in transport planning consultancy, developer, or local authority.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport planning and development processes.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Experience working on planning applications and development proposals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transport planning projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans.
• Undertake transport and accessibility assessments to support applications.
• Provide technical transport advice to clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams.
• Support budgets, programmes and resource management.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Attend client and design team meetings.
