Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an Assistant Transport Planner in Manchester to join the Transport Planning team. You will support the delivery of transport planning projects from initial assessment through to submission, working alongside experienced planners and other built-environment professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their transport planning career to gain experience across a wide range of projects while developing technical, analytical and client-facing

Qualifications

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Relevant transport planning experience or recent graduates welcome.
• Understanding of UK transport planning principles and development planning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of transport assessments, statements and travel plans.
• Support transport planning studies for residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use developments.
• Undertake traffic generation and distribution assessments.
• Assist with junction capacity and network analysis.
• Analyse traffic and transport data and present findings clearly.
• Support parking and accessibility assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with clients and authorities under supervision.
• Attend meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Support planning applications and responses to queries.
