Job summary

East Sussex County Council is looking for a Senior Transport Officer to lead the day-to-day operation of Flexibus across East Sussex, ensuring the service runs safely, smoothly, and responsively for residents.

You will monitor service performance, support customers with bookings and queries, and coordinate with fleet suppliers, the Fleet Management team and partners to maintain reliability and accessibility, driving continual service improvements.

• Experience or strong interest in passenger transport, coordination, service management or fleet operations.
• Commitment to safe driving and passenger safety.
• Ability to use initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
• Excellent communication with diverse audiences.
