Job summary

Arup is seeking experienced Transport Modellers to join its Transport Consulting team in the UK. You will contribute to projects spanning the full modelling lifecycle from data analysis to reporting and client engagement.

The role involves developing strategic models, forecasting future conditions and testing mitigation scenarios for high‑profile schemes. Join a collaborative, global practice that values technical excellence, continuous learning and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport modelling, across highways, public transport and/or multimodal models.
• Proven experience using VISUM, SATURN, CUBE or MATSim, including model development, calibration and validation.
• Good understanding of TAG requirements, forecasting and scenario testing.
• Strong skills in data analysis, reporting and technical note writing, with high standards of presentation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic transport models and forecasting approaches for projects.
• Calibrate and validate models, test mitigation scenarios and assess schemes.
• Support project bids and client engagement with clear technical outputs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies and deliver end-to-end modelling work.
