Job summary

Arup's Transport Consulting team seeks experienced Transport Modellers to work on challenging, high-profile schemes. You will apply data, models and innovative methodologies to solve real-world transport problems.

You will collaborate with senior modellers and project managers across the UK and internationally, contributing to projects and bids, developing strategic models, forecasting conditions, verifying scenarios and engaging with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport modelling across highways, public transport and/or multimodal models.
• Proven experience using VISUM, SATURN, CUBE or MATSim, including model development and calibration/validation.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and technical note writing with clarity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic transport models across projects and sectors.
• Forecast future conditions and test mitigation scenarios.
• Undertake scheme assessment and data analysis to inform decisions.
• Develop models from data analysis through reporting and visualization.
• Engage with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
