Job summary

Culina, the UK’s leading independent specialist supply chain partner, invites applications for a Senior Transport Coordinator within our Contract Logistics division on a full-time permanent basis. You will optimise driver hours, oversee transport plans, coordinate internal and subcontractor resources, and ensure on-time deliveries.

Significant experience with tachograph rules, FMCG transport, and IT skills with Microsoft Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge & experience of tachograph/ driving rules and regulations.
• Planning and organisation skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office packages.
• Effectively prioritise work load to meet deadlines.
• Be professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth operation.
• Significant transport experience in FMCG environment.

Responsibilities

• Optimising resource and adherence of WTD and drivers’ hours legislation.
• Signing off and overseeing an effective transport plan to achieve on time delivery and collection performance expectations.
• Overseeing own and subcontractor resource to achieve delivery/collection times, creating and updating daily run summary.
• Communicating with Planning, Customer service, other depots and with customers when required.
• Monitoring arrival and departure times, ensuring deliveries within windows.
• Finding the best fit solution for customer collections within collection times.
• Carrying out investigations and disciplining in line with company procedures.
• Logging, investigating and reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Carrying out colleague reviews.
• Liaising and planning drivers for meetings/courses.

As part of our, Contract division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Senior Transport Coordinatoron a full timepermanent basis.

Working hours:£36,000 per annum.

Key Duties of aSenior Transport Coordinator:

• Optimising resource and adherence of WTD and drivers’ hours legislation.
• Signing off and overseeing an effective transport plan to achieve on time delivery and collection performance expectations.
• Overseeingown and subcontractor resource to achieve delivery / collection times, creating and updating daily run summary.
• Effectively communicating with the Planning team, Customer service, other depots and when required, directly with customer.
• Monitoringarrival and departure times, ensuring deliveries are made within the specified windows.
• Finding the best fit solution for customer collections, adhering to collection times.
• Ensuring any investigations and disciplinaries are carried out in line with company process / procedures.
• Ensuring all accidents, incidents and near misses are logged, investigated and reported.
• Carrying out colleague reviews.
• Liaising and planning drivers in for meetings / courses as required.
