Job summary

Cancer Research UK in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist to shape translational opportunities across CRUK’s research portfolio. You will evaluate early-stage biology and collaborate across institutes to identify, shape and accelerate ideas into fundable therapeutic concepts.

Working within CRH’s Therapeutic Translation team, you will influence strategic translation, build scientific partnerships, and help transform breakthrough biology into new cancer medicines for patients, while

Qualifications

• PhD required with oncology drug discovery experience.
• Ability to identify and develop translational opportunities.
• Strong collaboration with academic and industry partners.
• Familiarity with preclinical models and target validation.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a new Therapeutic Translation strategy for CRH TI to enhance opportunities identified from CRUK funded research.
• Analyse current and future CRUK funded research to highlight translational opportunities.
• Work with CRUK PIs and international collaborators to identify translational opportunities.
• Perform detailed reviews of opportunities identified and shape new hypotheses and proposals.
