Cancer Research Horizons is seeking a Translation Executive to partner with CRUK-funded researchers across the Cambridge region, translating discoveries into translational projects and managing intellectual property strategy. Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline, ideally in oncology, life sciences, pharma, medicine, or related.
• Experience translating discovery research and pre-clinical science in medical tech, diagnostics, healthcare tech or pharma.
• Knowledge of oncology drug/technology discovery, IP protection and development.
• Experience with research-related contracts including MTAs, CDAs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement translation plans for CRUK-funded research across allocated sites.
• Identify projects and technologies with patient benefit potential, driving IP strategy.
• Collaborate with researchers, technology transfer offices, and external partners to progress to the clinic.
• Manage regional translational project portfolio and maintain strong relationships with major centres.
• Provide translational advisory services and contract negotiation support as needed.
• Work with cross-department teams to support CP and R&I objectives.
