Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a Senior Project Lead to join the Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services (BSPS) Transformation and Digital Programme PMO. You will lead complex service improvement and digital projects, govern risk and benefits, and report across the pathology network.

You will deputise for the Programme Lead and support junior PMO staff. Applicants need masters-level education or equivalent senior specialist experience, with proven delivery of transformation in an acute

Qualifications

• Masters-level education or equivalent senior specialist experience.
• Lean and Six Sigma qualification in service improvement tools.
• Programme and project management delivery of transformation in an acute NHS setting.
• Experience of managing risk and reporting by exception.
• Budgetary management and financial analysis to model projected benefits.
• Business case development for significant transformation programmes.
• Nice to have: qualification in business process reengineering or redesign.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex service improvement and transformation projects to time, cost and quality standards.
• Lead programme reporting, planning and delivery.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across clinical, operational, corporate and digital teams.
• Support the development, quantification, implementation and embedding of agreed changes.
• Manage risk, dependencies and benefits to ensure measurable improvements.
• Support service redesign and configuration across a range of operational areas.
• Support a designated transformation programme and act as deputy to the Programme Lead.
• Provide professional leadership and expert guidance on project and programme management across the network.
• Critically analyse information, risks and dependencies to inform decision-making.
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Support junior PMO staff.
