Job summary

Amplius is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will lead multiple transformation projects and support the development of Project Managers. You will work with senior stakeholders across Amplius to influence delivery, quality, and capability building within the organisation.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a hybrid work model and weekly office presence in Milton Keynes, Rushden, Peterborough or Boston. DBS clearance and a right to work in the UK are required; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• A recognised Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2, Agile, APM, MSP or similar.
• Significant experience delivering transformation, business change or process improvement projects and programmes.
• Experience line managing or mentoring Project Managers or other project professionals.
• Strong experience managing complex stakeholders, risks, issues, dependencies and resources within a matrix environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coach others and manage priorities under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple projects and programme-level workstreams, ensuring they are well planned, delivered and closed.
• Line manage, coach and develop Project Managers, balancing workloads and building capability across the PM community.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, providing updates and reports.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resources and budgets, guiding PMs and escalating concerns when needed.
• Ensure governance, controls and documentation standards are followed, with deliverables meeting requirements.
• Lead lessons learned and continuous improvement to strengthen delivery and transformation.
