The role

Our Senior Transcreation Account Manager (STAM) is responsible for end-to-end transcreation project delivery, management of client relationships while leading a diverse and dynamic team to deliver. Responsible for operational discipline, delivery, resource optimisation and profitability management of their projects, you are the key point person for projects and are responsible for delivering on time, on specification and on budget.

You have superior problem-solving skills, localisation expertise, excellent linguistic skills, good understanding of production process, passion for marketing and advertising and a desire to grow and develop. You are highly organised and accountable leaders, able to build relationships and collaborate, drawing on the expertise of Hogarth’s resources and capabilities. You are champions of flawless execution.

Key areas of responsibility

Communication

  • Responsible for managing client relationship and liaison with client reviewers with a focus on delivery highest quality of localised material.
  • Act as an advisor and educator for the client to ensure they understand agreed workflows and manage the client stakeholders through the process.
  • Oversee on-time delivery of projects and ensure smooth, quality delivery and swift resolution of issues to maintain client confidence in Hogarth’s capabilities to deliver.
  • Key project management contact with clients, agencies and all associated Hogarth teams.
  • Display understanding of client’s needs to deliver high satisfaction levels and share feedback with wider team and escalate any delivery concerns to their manager.
  • Develop good working relationships with internal stakeholders (Campaign Managers, Print Managers, Digital Managers, etc.) through effective communication and mutual understanding.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the brief, deliverables and timeline for each project and relay those details to other members of the team as necessary.
  • Accountable for ensuring all team members are aware of timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness, trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, diversity, engagement and ensure the team feel personal accountability for deliverables and projects.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with internal agency teams and key external partners to ensure quality and adherence to guidelines for key deliverables.
  • Develop strong relationships with linguist network by ensuring appropriate linguistic resources are in place and high quality of localised material in maintained.

Process

  • Manage medium-to-large sized projects independently, from initiation through to completion.
  • Work collaboratively with all internal team members to facilitate the process of developing effective strategies and briefs that lead to great work.
  • Understand and anticipate client needs, taking them into account when framing and making delivery decisions.
  • Take responsibility for quality of Transcreation delivered to the client.
  • Ensure that glossaries, TOV, brand guidelines are regularly shared with writers and that they are always kept up to date.
  • Update style guides to capture client feedback/preferences.
  • Working with the Talent Manager, provide constructive feedback to freelance linguists at the end of each project to drive continuous improvements.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of Languages project management techniques and bring process innovation in how we manage our engagements.
  • Manage client objectives, budget, expectations, deliverables and timelines andcommunicate changes/directions to team members.
  • Keep projects on track through clear task lists, timing schedules, trackers, servers, status.
  • Actively participate and articulate status internally and during client interactions (if any).
  • Leverage our on-site, onshore, offshore network to deliver great work in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Identify improvements to existing workflow and processes.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans and if needed, escalate to Campaign Management Team/Transcreation Team Lead.
  • Review team structure and resources on an ongoing basis to ensure client is serviced appropriately while maintaining agreed profitability.
  • Ensure the highest quality is always delivered to clients.

  • Own project budget and tracking of all ongoing costs throughout project lifecycle,reconciles estimates to actuals on all projects and resolution of budget discrepancies between disciplines, vendors, and clients.
  • Manage POs, financial reporting, tracking, billing against project budget
  • Responsible for monthly billing and tracking of all budgets.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the contractual obligations, commercial arrangements, and SLA’s across assigned accounts and ensures specific details are understood by the broader team.

Requirements

  • Transcreation, Translation and/or Localisation project management related experience within an interactive or integrated agency, with a good understanding of localisation, marketing and production implementation processes across all key channels, including digital, video, content, social etc.
  • Linguistic background (e.g., degree in Languages, Translation or similar).
  • Expertise in Machine Translation, AI translation, TMS and post-editing workflows.
  • Good understanding of languages and the creative development process, content production, technology, quality assurance and marketing methodologies.
  • Ability to manage medium-to-large projects with varying components, demonstrating ability to deliver on time and on budget.
  • Experience of building strong mid-level client relationships.
  • A professional, calm, approachable demeanour, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic highly matrixed agency environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and relationships cross functionally.
  • An appreciation for how great work gets done and a commitment to ensuring flawless execution and delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead dynamic cross-functional teams to deliver on projects.
  • Demonstrates an ability to solve problems with the solution that works for all stakeholders without compromising the quality of the deliverables or the project.
  • Must be commercially astute and able to build scopes, create budgets/forecasts and track project burn and actuals.
  • Expert client relationship skills including presenting to clients, dealing with multiple stakeholders, and ability to think outside of the box.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, other languages very desirable.
  • Experience of working with offshore teams a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Wordbee or other CAT Tools/TMS platforms.
