Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Principal Traffic Signals Engineer to lead and deliver traffic signal and ITS projects from the Midlands. You will work with local authorities, developers and contractors to improve urban junctions, network performance and safety.

Based in Leicester with a flexible hybrid model, you will mentor engineers, review designs and manage scopes, budgets and client relationships across the UK.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, transport planning or related discipline.
Proven experience delivering complex traffic signal projects.
Strong understanding of UK traffic signal design principles and standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of traffic signal and ITS projects.
Provide technical direction, mentoring and team support.
Manage project scope, programmes, budgets, risks and quality.
Prepare and review traffic signal designs, reports and drawings.
Develop junction improvement schemes including signalised junctions.
