Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and collaborate with technical experts. Contribute to critical infrastructure projects that connect and protect the nation's digital infrastructure 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in designing signalised junctions and crossings. Aspires to advance as a Senior Design Services Engineer with a fresh perspective on Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
