Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Principal Town Planner to lead a varied caseload, provide strategic planning advice and manage applications from feasibility to determination. You will mentor junior staff, develop client relationships with local authorities and private sector clients, and help grow the consultancy’s presence in residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors.

A degree in Town Planning and MRTPI status are highly desirable.

• Strong communication and client liaison skills.
• Proven project management experience across multiple developments.
• Commercial awareness with ability to develop new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a varied caseload of planning projects from feasibility to determination.
• Provide strategic planning advice to private sector clients and developers.
• Mentor junior team members and support business development initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, local planning authorities and multidisciplinary teams.
• Keep up to date with changes to planning policy and development management.
