Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to lead a diverse portfolio of planning projects across the North East and wider UK. You will manage applications and appeals, provide strategic guidance and build strong client relationships.

Working with local authorities, consultants and stakeholders, you'll drive project delivery, mentor junior staff and contribute to business growth. RTPI chartership preferred; a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification in Town Planning or related field.
• RTPI chartership or progress towards chartership preferred.
• Significant experience in town planning, consultancy, local authority or development environment.
• Proven track record managing planning applications and advising across sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning system, policy and development plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning applications and appeals from feasibility to determination.
• Provide strategic planning advice on development potential and policy.
• Undertake site assessments and planning policy reviews.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultees, landowners and developers.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage client relationships.
• Prepare fee proposals and monitor project budgets.
