Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd in Oxfordshire seeks an Associate Town Planner to join a well-established planning consultancy. You will manage a varied caseload, provide strategic planning advice to clients, and help deliver projects from feasibility through to determination.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Town Planning or related field, RTPI membership (or working toward chartership), and solid experience in a planning environment.

Qualifications

• RTPI membership in progress or chartership
• Experience in planning consultancy or local authority
• Strong knowledge of the English planning system and current policy

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload from inception to determination
• Provide strategic and practical planning advice to clients
• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals
• Undertake planning appraisals, feasibility studies and development assessments
• Liaise with local planning authorities, consultees and stakeholders
• Prepare planning statements, representations and other supporting documentation
• Assist with business development and generation of new instructions
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor junior planning team members
• Keep up to date with planning policy changes and case law
