Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join a UK planning consultancy. You will work on renewable energy and sustainable development projects with full remote flexibility from home, delivering high quality planning advice to clients across the UK.

With 5+ years’ experience and a Degree in Town Planning, you will manage applications, run projects independently, coordinate with planning authorities and stakeholders, and help shape the UK’s energy transition.

Qualifications

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or a similar planning environment.
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system, planning policy and development management.
• Experience managing planning applications and delivering projects independently.
• Genuine interest in renewable energy planning and sustainable development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Proactive, commercially aware approach to problem-solving and client management.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
