Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Kent is seeking a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy.

You will work on a varied portfolio, develop expertise, and benefit from clear career progression within a supportive team. The role offers UK planning exposure, responsibilities for applications, reports, and stakeholder liaison, with senior candidates taking greater ownership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or a relevant discipline.
• MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.
• Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority.
• Knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy and development management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and managing planning applications for a variety of development projects.
• Producing planning statements, reports and supporting planning documentation.
• Advising clients on planning policy, development potential and application strategies.
• Liaising with local planning authorities, developers, architects and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring applications and managing projects throughout the planning process.
• Undertaking planning policy research and assessing development proposals.
• Supporting delivery of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• For Senior Town Planner candidates, taking greater ownership of projects and client relationships.
