You will deliver planning advice, manage applications and appeals, and support the promotion of strategic development sites for a varied client base.

The role offers ownership of projects, direct interaction with clients and senior colleagues, and clear opportunities to progress within a well‑established consultancy.

Qualifications

• RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• MRTPI status or working towards chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Preparing planning appraisals, identifying development opportunities and advising clients on planning strategy.
• Managing and coordinating planning applications, appeals and development plan representations.
• Providing commercially focused planning advice, applying current legislation and planning policy.
• Managing projects from inception through to submission and determination.
• Preparing high-quality planning statements, appeal submissions and local plan representations.
• Coordinating external consultants and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Supporting the promotion of development sites through the local plan process.
• Building and maintaining relationships with local planning authorities, consultants and professional advisors.
• Identifying potential business opportunities and supporting the growth of the wider planning team.
• Managing project budgets, deadlines and workloads effectively.
• Providing excellent client care and contributing towards the continued success of the business.

Education
