Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is expanding its planning team in Farnham and seeks a Senior/Associate Town Planner to deliver client-focused planning advice across diverse sectors. You will take ownership of projects, lead client engagements and drive outcomes from inception through delivery.

The role offers genuine responsibility, direct exposure to clients and opportunities to shape projects within a growing consultancy, with hybrid and part-time flexible working options.

Qualifications

• MRTPI status is essential.
• Experience in a planning consultancy or local authority.
• Proven report-writing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare planning appraisals and development strategies.
• Manage a range of planning applications and appeals.
• Draft Planning Statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaise directly with clients, local authorities and consultant teams.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and client expectations.
• Undertake site visits and attend client and stakeholder meetings.
• Support community consultation and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Assist with hearings, inquiries and strategic land promotion projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for business growth.
