Carrington West is recruiting a Senior Town Planner in Manchester to join a respected planning consultancy. The role involves leading a varied caseload, delivering planning advice, and progressing career growth within a supportive environment.

You will be responsible for managing projects, submitting applications and appeals, and advising clients across development sectors. Hybrid working and opportunity for RTPI chartership are highlighted in the offer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related field.
• MRTPI accreditation or working towards chartership.
• Experience in planning consultancy, developer, or local authority.

Responsibilities

• Manage and progress a varied portfolio of planning projects.
• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals.
• Provide strategic planning advice to clients.
• Undertake planning research and policy assessments.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of planning strategies for complex proposals.
• Manage project deadlines, budgets and client expectations.
• Support and mentor junior planning team members.
• Contribute to business development and maintain client relationships.
