Job summary

GT, a UK-based consultancy, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer to join a healthcare-focused project in Nottingham. You will own forecasting solutions, build scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with data, product, and cloud engineers to deliver end-to-end ML deployments.

The role centers on time-series forecasting, model development, and productionisation, working with stakeholders to align requirements and outcomes. Nottingham office access is up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial experience in Data Science / Machine Learning
• Hands-on with: Databricks, Notebooks, PySpark, Workflows, Deployment through Asset Bundles
• Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining production ML solutions
• Forecasting / Time-Series Modelling, Regression, Classification, Gradient Boosting (XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Strong Python skills (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch)
• Experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP also)
• SQL
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML models for time-series forecasting and related data tasks
• Build and maintain data pipelines using cloud-native tools (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Develop and optimize forecasting models (Prophet, ARIMA, LSTM, TimeGPT)
• Collaborate with data, product, and cloud engineers to deliver scalable solutions
• Participate in lifecycle stages from discovery to production deployment and present results
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and shape solutions
• Communicate modelling approaches and results to technical and non-technical audiences
