University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust seeks a Therapy Technician to support fragile fracture ward patients. You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and therapy technicians to ensure timely interventions and safe discharge from hospital.
Role includes autonomous caseload management, 7-day service participation, weekend rotations, and competency development across trauma and neurosurgery areas. Full training and multidisciplinary supervision provided.
We are looking for a dedicated individual to support the delivery of high quality care and rehabilitation for patients recovering from fragility fractures. This static position will give you the opportunity to develop skills and experience within a specialised area, working alongside experienced Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy technicians.
All Therapy Technicians are trained to have dual competencies in both Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The post holder will work closely with the Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Multidisciplinary team, to ensure patients receive timely interventions and safe supported discharge from hospital.
Whilst this is a Static Role on the Fragility Fracture ward the Trust is committed to the provision of a 7 day service. Applicants to this post would be expected to participate in a 7-day working rota including working weekends. Therapy is provided until 6pm Monday - Friday, so this role would also include working extended hours on a rota. You will complete competencies and experience working in other areas within the trust including: Trauma, Elective, Neurosurgery, ARTU, CT and Paediatrics.
