Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Gener ic Therapy Assistant to work within our HCOP team. Based at Good Hope Hospital, you will support physiotherapy and occupational therapy, assess patients with MDT input, and help determine the most suitable treatments and discharge plans.

You will assist with home visits, discharge planning, and maintain patient records while working under supervision and contributing to a flexible weekend rota as part of a supportive

Qualifications

• Experience as OT/PT or generic therapy support worker.
• Excellent communication, clinical reasoning and prioritisation skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with MDT to determine treatments and discharge destination.
• Support rehabilitation and functional maintenance.
• Assist on home visits with registered therapists.
• Assist discharge planning and help prevent unnecessary admission.
• Keep records and report patient progress to therapists.
