Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Therapy Assistant to join our integrated Therapy Team across acute wards. You will deliver timely assessments, rehabilitation, and discharge planning support within surgery, medicine, or orthopaedics, under supervision of a qualified therapist.

You will assist with delegated caseloads, undertake admin and stock duties, and contribute to service development. Weekend and public holiday flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent health/social care experience required.
• Experience with therapy assessments and interventions.
• Awareness of own limitations and ability to work on own initiative.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to work in a team and adapt to varied settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventions for a delegated caseload under supervision of a qualified therapist.
• Perform admin and stock control duties to support Integrated Therapy services.
• Contribute to CPD and service development, and drive forward clinical pathways.
• Assist with discharge planning and ensure timely patient care across acute wards.
