Job summary

Common Thread Group in Lanark is seeking a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker to lead a small residential care team, delivering a safe, caring, family‑style environment for vulnerable young people. You will work with the House Manager to coach and develop staff, uphold high standards, and ensure outcomes for the young people are at the heart of every decision.

• Requires HNC Social Care or SVQ 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People); SVQ 4 desirable.
• Strong leadership, safeguarding knowledge and safeguarding practices.
• Willingness to participate in sleep over shifts and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a dedicated team to provide safe, caring environments for young people.
• Coach staff alongside the House Manager to uphold high standards and integrity.
• Ensure safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches guide daily practice.
• Coordinate weekend sleepover shifts and on-call cover as required.
