Job summary

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner (RGN/ODP) in Anaesthetics/Recovery. This permanent, full‑time role offers a salary up to £44,100 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a £3,000 Golden Hello.

You will be NMC registered with post‑registration experience across anaesthetic and recovery. You will lead by example, mentor junior staff, and contribute to scheduling, recruitment and training while ensuring outstanding patient care with autonomous clinical

• Knowledge of teaching and assessment is desirable.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner at our Glasgow Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner (RGN/ODP), you will:

• Have previous anaesthetic and recovery experience, which is essential for this role.
• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
