DWP Digital is hiring a Senior Test Engineer to guide automation testing strategies across multiple agile delivery teams. You will lead data validation, risk-based testing, and continuous testing to ensure secure and scalable products.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on testing, and collaboration with software engineers, DevOps, and product teams. You will work in a hybrid model across UK hubs and help shape testing frameworks embedded in CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on shift-left

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and data transformation.
• Experience building and maintaining robust automated tests with pytest.
• Ability to lead testing strategy across multiple delivery teams.
• Experience across the full software lifecycle, from requirements to production.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and shift-left testing principles.
• Experience in non-functional testing (performance, security, scalability).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple agile delivery teams.
• Define and implement automation testing strategies ensuring secure, scalable products.
• Champion risk-based testing and data validation; integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and line-manage Test Engineers and share best practices.
• Contribute to building a culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
