Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join its community of tech experts. You will provide technical leadership across multiple agile delivery teams, defining automation testing strategies that ensure secure, scalable products and champion risk‑based testing.

This hands-on leadership role shapes automation frameworks, embeds testing into CI/CD pipelines, and mentors Test Engineers while helping teams deliver with confidence. Hybrid working and a strong pension are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with data transformation and Python.
• Designing, building and maintaining tests using pytest.
• Leading testing and test strategy across multiple delivery teams.
• Full software lifecycle experience including leadership, test generation, reporting and defect management.
• Shift-left with CI/CD and cloud-based pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across multiple agile delivery teams.
• Define and implement automation testing strategies to ensure secure, scalable software.
• Embed testing into CI/CD pipelines and manage test risks and defects.
• Mentor and line-manage Test Engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, DevOps, Architects and Product teams to deliver quality solutions.
