Job summary

JCB is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join the Power Systems Test & Facilities team at our Foston facility. You’ll manage development test cells, ensure safe operations, and deliver high-quality engine data for R&D projects.

You will work with advanced test regimes, calibrate instruments, and support with experimental engines, often collaborating with other business units. Applicants should have strong engineering and IT skills and be prepared for shift work.

Qualifications

• Experience in running and maintaining development test cells.
• Ability to interpret and analyse engine data from multiple channels.
• Strong understanding of modern internal combustion engines, controls and emissions.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain development test cells to ensure reliability and data quality.
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and test cells.
• Configure automated test schedules and improve testing methods.
