Job summary

JCB is seeking a proactive Test Engineer to join the Power Systems Test & Facilities team at our Foston development centre. You will maintain development test cells, ensure reliability of data, and support health, safety and environmental practices while contributing to continuous improvement in testing methods.

You will work with advanced instrumentation and control software, manage fault diagnostics, and collaborate with multiple business units on development engine testing.

Qualifications

• HNC preferred, degree level considered for complex role.
• Experience in HS&E management is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of modern internal combustion engines and control, emissions and aftertreatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain advanced test cells, ensuring reliability and quality data.
• Reduce risks and maintain a safe working environment for all.
• Monitor engine health using data capture from 300+ channels.
• Calibrate and service instrumentation and test cells.
• Configure automated test regimes and improve testing methods.
