Job summary

ConnexAI in Manchester is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design and execute manual front-end and API tests, with shell-based debugging. You will collaborate with development and data science teams, shaping testing approaches and mentoring others.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software testing, experience with AI systems, API testing, and Linux. You will help ensure our customer experience platform and in-house AI products are trustworthy, safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role.
• Proven background in Manual Testing.
• Experience in working with AI systems.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience with API Testing.
• Experience with Linux (bash / shell).

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead manual regression and ticket testing.
• Write, maintain and update manual regression packs.
• Manage bugs throughout their full life cycle.
• Communicate and collaborate with teams and stakeholders of varying technical knowledge.
• Attend agile ceremonies & team meetings; support planning, visibility and alignment.
• Proactive, able to plan efficiently after feedback or discussions.
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Works independently and collaboratively.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments; excellent time management.
• Strong communicator: documents concisely and expresses reasoned opinions.
