Job summary

ConnexAI in Manchester is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design and execute manual front-end and API tests, with shell-based debugging. You will collaborate with development and data science teams, shaping testing approaches and mentoring others.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in software testing, experience with AI systems, API testing, and Linux. You will help ensure our customer experience platform and in-house AI products are trustworthy, safe and reliable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role.
• Proven background in Manual Testing.
• Experience in working with AI systems.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience with API Testing.
• Experience with Linux (bash / shell).

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to test our customer experience platform. You will design and execute both manual front-end and API test scripts; perform debugging via CLI using shell; and have the opportunity to test our in-house AI product suite.

This collaborative role involves working closely with development and data science, contributing to technical discussions, shaping testing approaches, mentoring others and embedding testing best practices.

Ideal for an experienced manual tester looking to expand into modern AI technologies. This role provides the opportunity to ensure our systems are trustworthy, safe and consistent; directly impacting the performance and reliability of ConnexAI.

Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role

Required

• Proven background in Manual Testing


• Experience in working with AI systems


• Minimum 2 years of proven experience with API Testing


• Experience with Linux (bash / shell)

Ideal

• API Testing experience with Playwright API, cURL or Postman (OAuth2.0 & JWT)


• DB Testing experience with Postgres / PSQL


• Experience testing LLM, ASR or TTS systems


• Experience using or testing Telecommunications software


• Knowledge of AWS or similar systems

Responsibilities

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will typically support 2 - 3 products. You will:
