Job summary

L3Harris in Brighton is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead test program design and execution for release systems and antennas. You will develop test plans, fixtures and procedures, and guide less experienced engineers to ensure on-time delivery of validated test results.

Role involves creating hardware and software test programs, analyzing results, and supporting design reviews. A background in high-pressure pneumatics, LabVIEW, sensors, and environmental testing is required, with security

Qualifications

• Experience in test system design and implementation.
• Ability to design test fixtures for complex assemblies.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical testing expertise.
• Knowledge of high-pressure pneumatics and related safety standards.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW software and data acquisition systems.
• Experience with sensors, accelerometers, load cells and transducers.
• Familiarity with high-speed imaging and related capture systems.
• Experience with environmental testing (temp, humidity, vibration).

Responsibilities

• Create Type Approval Test Plans to satisfy certification requirements.
• Develop detailed Qualification Test procedures.
• Conduct tests and prepare Qualification Test Reports for Airworthiness Certification.
• Support internal and customer design reviews throughout the lifecycle.
• Provide analysis of test results and support trade studies.
• Verify interfaces and first article production integration.
• Investigate and implement solutions to test problems.
• Develop and implement hardware/software system level test programs.
• Design and implement cost-effective test procedures for subassemblies and systems.
• Enhance test facilities and capabilities.
