Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wolverhampton, UK, seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead prototype and qualification testing across the product lifecycle. You will plan, execute and document tests for prototype hardware, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements while coordinating with multi‑national teams and external suppliers.

You will drive test planning, data analysis, and reporting, contributing to the engineering strategy and technology roadmap in a new facility with travel <10% internationally.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated development/test engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of electro‑mechanical actuation and sensors.
• Experience in supporting failure investigations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• A passion for self‑development and engineering excellence within a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, readiness activities, execution and reporting of prototype and qualification testing.
• Create and execute test procedures on prototype hardware.
• Generate qualification/prototype test documentation.
• Coordinate off-site testing including equipment and test houses.
• Collaborate across multi-functional teams and external customers.
• Support development of engineering strategy and technology roadmap.
• Deliver and present test results clearly in writing and verbally.
