Job summary

TrueNorth® is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join a Government Transformation programme in Manchester on a hybrid, long-term contract. The role is hands-on with automation plus performance testing, starting ASAP at £275 per day Inside IR35.

You will design and maintain automation frameworks, build automated tests, and work with Developers, BAs and Product to embed quality across the SDLC while supporting performance test planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QA / Test Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Automation Frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6.
• Experience in Agile / DevOps environments.
• Experience on large-scale public sector programmes is highly desirable.
• SC Eligible with 5 years UK residency.

QA Automation Engineer (Automation + Performance) | Government Transformation | Manchester Hybrid | £275pd Inside IR35 | SC Eligible | ASAP Start

We're looking for a QA / Test Engineer with strong Automation experience to join a major public sector digital transformation programme.

This is a long-term contract, hybrid working with 1 day per week on-site in Manchester, starting ASAP.

The Role:

You'll be part of a large-scale agile delivery team responsible for quality across critical digital services. It's a hands-on automation role, but the client has specifically asked for someone who can also bring Performance testing experience.

• Supporting performance test planning and execution

What we're looking for:

• Experience with performance testing tools - JMeter, Gatling, K6 or similar
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Experience working on large-scale, complex programmes - public sector / government experience highly desirable
• SC Eligible - You must be eligible for SC clearance (5 years UK residency)
