Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join an agile team delivering business transformation through quality assurance. You will drive manual and automated testing across cross-browser and API layers, build and maintain test frameworks in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#, and work with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium and related tools.

The role requires TS/SC clearance, strong automation skills, and collaboration with development squads to improve testing and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• We require a minimum of 4 years of software testing experience in a similar role.
• Strong manual testing and automation testing capabilities are essential.
• Proven experience in automated QA including cross-browser, functional, API and integration tests.
• Experience delivering front-end cross-browser testing, device testing, exploratory testing and UAT.
• Evidence building and maintaining test automation frameworks in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Hands-on with Cypress, Karate, Playwright, Selenium or similar tools.
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Active SC Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Salary: £49,000 - 66,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years experience as a Software Engineer in Test, Test Engineer, or Test Analyst.
• We need someone who is confident in manual testing and also enjoys automation testing.
• We require demonstrated experience in automated quality assurance, including overnight cross-browser, functional, non-functional, API, integration, and acceptance testing.
• We require experience delivering front-end cross-browser functional testing, device testing, exploratory testing, systems integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• We need someone who is confident building and maintaining frameworks in one or more of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• We require practical experience with open source tools such as Cypress, Karate, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
• We require experience working in an agile environment.
• Candidates must have active SC Clearance.
