Werfen in Bedford, UK is seeking a senior test automation architect to own the automation architecture, framework development, and engineering standards across firmware, software, and subsystem programs, driving scalable test solutions.

The role requires hands-on design, coding, mentoring, and collaboration with software, firmware, systems, QE, and DevOps teams to promote testability by design and continuous testing in AWS, containers, and CI/CD environments.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 10+ years related experience or Master’s with 8+ years.
• Proficient with a PC and software packages; strong communications skills.
• Experience operating instrumentation; software/hardware integration is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own the test automation architecture, strategy, standards, and technical roadmap.
• Build reusable automation frameworks with Python and supporting technologies.
• Develop automation architecture for firmware, components, APIs, and end-to-end workflows.
• Create reusable test libraries, harnesses, simulators, mocks, utilities, and test infrastructure.
• Design automation environments using AWS, VMs, Docker, containers, and physical/virtual test environments.
• Incorporate automation into CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
• Establish automated processes for environment provisioning, configuration, deployment, test execution, and diagnostics.
• Support parallel and scalable test execution across virtualized/containerized environments.
• Set engineering standards for Git, code reviews, configuration management, logging, diagnostics, traceability, and maintainability.
• Promote testability by design and observability across software/firmware/infrastructure.
