Job summary

Royal London is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our Test Services team within Group Technology & Change. You’ll own complex testing activities across the full software delivery lifecycle, designing, executing and improving both functional and non-functional tests while supporting and mentoring others.

This hands-on role offers opportunities to influence testing strategy, introduce improvements and work closely with delivery teams to ensure quality, reliability and performance

• Designs and executes reusable manual and automated test scripts and regression packs
• Plans, estimates and schedules test activities across delivery phases

• Executes complex tests, records outcomes and maintains traceability to requirements
• Identifies, diagnoses and reports defects, working with delivery teams
• Produces test progress, quality and risk reports with meaningful metrics
• Reviews test results and refines tests as required

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our Test Services team within Group Technology & Change. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our systems, supporting the delivery of new and enhanced technology solutions across Royal London.

Reporting to a Technical Lead or Lead Test Analyst, you’ll take ownership of complex testing activities, using your technical expertise to design, execute and improve both functional and non‑functional testing. You’ll also support and mentor other Test Analysts, helping to raise standards and capability across the team.

This is a hands‑on role with opportunities to influence testing strategy, introduce improvements and work closely with delivery teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.

• Producing test progress,qualityand risk reports, supported by meaningful metrics
• Reviewing test results and refining tests whererequired.

About you

• In‑depthknowledge of functional andnon‑functionaltesting techniques
• Practical experience of test automation tools and frameworks, with the judgement to identify where automation delivers the greatest value across regression, repeatable checks and delivery efficiency
• Experience applying GenAI within testing activities, including test scenario generation, test data identification, automation support, defect analysis, risk-based test prioritisation, reporting insights and continuous improvement of test processes
• Familiarity with test management, defectmanagementand diagnostic tools
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and adapt to changing requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed timescales
• A collaborative approach, with confidence supporting and mentoring others
• Specialist knowledge in at least one technology, businessareaor test automation tool.
