Job summary

Ipsum is seeking an experienced Senior Tendering Engineer to lead the tendering process for high-value electrical infrastructure projects. You will deliver competitive, compliant tenders and support growth in the Major Projects division.

You will manage multiple tenders, produce cost estimates, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, while collaborating with the team to optimise project delivery and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading tendering, estimating or pre-construction in electrical utilities or power sectors.
• Proven ability to produce cost estimates and commercial submissions for major projects.
• Strong understanding of HV electrical infrastructure (11kV-132kV) and related regulations.
• Ability to develop front-end programmes using project management software.
• Knowledge of HASAWA, NRSWA, COSHH and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage multiple tenders, ensuring they are delivered safely, accurately, on time, and within budget.
• Produce accurate cost estimates, quotations, and commercial submissions for major projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standards.
• Identify commercial opportunities and communicate them to Directors and Senior Managers.
• Create project programmes using Microsoft Project and monitor progress.
