Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting a Principal Temporary Works Engineer to lead complex temporary works design across multiple UK locations. You will oversee design, checking, and coordination with construction teams, driving safety, buildability and compliance on large infrastructure projects.

Applicants should be Chartered or equivalent, with strong civil/structural/geotechnical grounding, and proven leadership of diverse project teams. Flexible/hybrid working options exist across the UK portfolio.

Qualifications

• CEng or equivalent experience in civil/temporary works.
• Experience delivering complex temporary works projects.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Leading delivery of a broad range of complex construction/temporary works services.
• Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs (calculations, drawings, models).
• Developing teams and improving processes to meet current and future challenges.
